ILOILO
Gown and suit c/o: Cecilio Abad
We fly in at 6:30am in the morning. Can you say zombieeeee… 0_o The team was half dead half awake, every bag felt like it weighed a ton. I got a bit irritated with cebu pacific, they wouldn’t let our cam gears and video gears go in as hand carry.. so we had to carry them out of the bags.. wow. Oh well. Hope someday the forces may be kind to photographers and understand our concern for our gears. We wouldn’t want to risk checking in our gears for fear of damage.
Anyhoo, enough of that! A yummy feast awaited us as we arrived in sarah’s home. The absoulutely delish longganisa of Iloilo was my fave! 2nd was the crispy squid flakes.. ay caramba! That certainly did the trick to wake me up to a bright sunny day and jumpstart the sleepy bones. HEHE.
Been waiting for this wedding to come and finally it has and it was a blast!
I got nosebleed a bit with chinese talk mixed with bisaya (which sounded cool btw!) but I tried my best to pick up on things. After breakfast we headed over to Iloilo Grand Hotel to check in and freshen up. I was surprised to know that there was no coordinator! But everything was organized.. galing!:D The host of the reception was totally hillarious! And he had costume change pa to boot! Anyway too many stories to tell but it was a great trip and a great way to the end the year
Next morning I caught a connecting flight to HK and met up with my family who was already there and had WONDERFUL adventures exploring HK and Macau. That’s a blog that’s sure to come next!
Happy New Year! The coordinated fireworks blasting was a big help in capturing shots like this!
Sarah had her preps at home and it was fun finding spots to shoot from around the house.
Sarah’s mom sheds a tear.
Petals from Sarah’s entrance, gives a wonderful foreground to the aisle of the church.
The bride sheds of some tears.
For the pictorial after the church, we went to a big..Big..BIGGG, compound of an aunt of Eric and Sarah’s.:D
The couple catching a breather before the reception started.
