If you haven’t been updated with the news, Typhoon Ondoy was perhaps the strongest typhoon that ever hit the country. This week a lot of relief operations and rescue missions have been ongoing non-stop. Check out some photos I took of my church’s Operation Ondoy where about 400-500 strong volunteers come daily to pack thousands of goods that are deployed with the help of the military to various affected areas. I’ve never seen the Filipino people this united in helping his fellow Filipino brother/sister as massive volunteers and donations keep on pouring around the metro. A lot of families lost not only their houses but loved ones as well. Watching all the videos of recorded accounts of Ondoy’s destruction just moves the soul to go out and do something about it. I encourage everyone to continue praying for those badly affected by this tragedy and get out there and get involved! Am proud to be a Filipino, and I believe this is a turning point in the country’s history.
