Last May 16 I was given the opportunity to give a short career talk about photography in UP in front of about maybe 60 4th year high school students from different schools. It was organized by (teacher) Tin Tan, the wife of our fellow photographer Mike Tan. It kinda felt weird now being the one in front talking rather than be the one seated listening. My am getting old! haha :D

It was fun being able to share my passion for photography and hope got to inspire those kids to someday follow a career that they would love to do. :) Maybe some of those kids would be great photogs someday!

Thanks Tine for coming along and supporting me. :D hihi.

Thanks Young Einstein for the lovely pen and certificate!:D

Praise God for this opportunity and clearing my schedule to do this. :)

Pangil Beach Resort

We arrive at the resort after lunch, settle in, take a long nap and wake up for the LUAU!!!! haha :D The day was gloomy but at around 6pm, the sun suddenly showed itself and let out a glorious sunset skyline! It was my first time to simply stare into such beauty! We just had to grab Brian and Wig for some pics! Awessoooommmeee!!! Afterwards we prayed as a team together with the couple for great weather the next day and thanked Him for a glimpse the sun! :D

The families organized this Luau for as a treat for everyone who came. And my gosh was it such a feast!! I’ve never seen that much food! And to think this was just a pre-wedding party! haha! :D Let me walk you through the pics below..

Check out the glorious sun peeking out of the horizon! It was signal number 3 that day..

May 6 ‘09 Evening.

This was truly a test of faith. I traveled to Curimao for almost 9 hours with my Imagine Nation crew. We faced tough rain and rough road and headed straight to the heart of Typhoon Emong. Family and friends called us up and said we were headed right for Signal number 3.

May 7 ‘09 Morning.

Weather looked pretty glum. We suffered a flat tire in Vigan. It was a good thing that the rim didn’t get hit. And we had some kuyas who helped us change the tire! We decided to chill out and have breakfast and go a little sight seeing in nostalgic Vigan.. :D jjl_3876

After breakfast we headed for Curimao which was an hour and a half away from Vigan.  Weather still looked glummy with gray clouds that filled up the entire sky. Waves also hit hard against the coastline. Our resort, Pangil Beach resort was just right in front of it.

jjl_3974

With the weather like this, there was a close to nothing of chance for sunny weather for the wedding day the next day. And it rained the whole day.

jjl_3970

But you know what, around 6pm something cut through the skyline.. it was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.. a perfect sunset sky! We scrambled and got our couple Brian and Wig for som shots by the rocks! STUNNING. We prayed together with the couple afterwards at the beach thanking him for this glimpse of light amidst SIGNAL #3 of EMONG and claimed that tomorrow’s weather would be sunny and perfect.

May 8 ‘09: Wedding day.

And the next morning, this was what our eyes woke up to…. :D

jjl_4264

They say it was Signal # 3 where we were.. I say Signal # WHHHHHHHHHUUUUTT!!!!!! :D Bam! Our God can move storms! yebah!

Can’t wait to post and share the wedding pics! :D It was one wedding filled with miracles! Stay tuned! :D
