Ahhh what a perfect way to relax before going back to Manila! We trooped over to Potipot Island which was just about 10 mins away from our resort. Thanks Rex and Imee for bringing the team there! It’s nice to chill and hang loose after the wedding! Sun was out too! Summer love!

This was the start of several out destination weddings during the month of may.. and what a great way to start it off in far off Zambales! Candelaria is about 5 hours away from Manila. It was our first time there and the summer heat melted us like popsicles in a  microwave. hehe. It was a great thing though that we stayed overnight to rest. The next day we ventured across the beautiful island of Potipot! But that’s saved for a the next post! Here are the weddings pics first!

The weather started to sway from sunny to gloomy as we started taking portraits… but Rex and Imee can’t stop smiling!

On our way to the reception it started to pour.. HARD! Everything was wet. I was sighing inside… BUT..

.. we managed to go on with the festivities and surprisingly a lot of people still stayed despite the rain and I think it was one FUN reception!

It was so fun that Toto joined WILLINGLY the garter game.. bwahahahaha

It was so fun that the Imee’s mom rushed over to us to offer us Tequila Rose while shooting.. hehe!

And it was so fun coz Rex shed some tears at the end.

Gosh I have been quite busy the past few weeks!! Last May 2-3 I was in Candelaria Zambales which was about 5 hours away from Manila. Last May 6-9 I was in Curimao Ilocos which where Typhoon Emong passed and which was 8 hours away. May 11, I was in Tagaytay to shoot Kix and Madz’s wedding. Then last May 18-19 I found myself back on one of my loved places on earth, Anawangin and shot A CRAZY engagement of Ruz and Mutya! Whew. Now I have time to rest. A bit. Just wanted to share some snaps from my travels. I love my job! enjoy! Full blown posts of these shoots coming soon!

May 6 ‘09 Evening.

This was truly a test of faith. I traveled to Curimao for almost 9 hours with my Imagine Nation crew. We faced tough rain and rough road and headed straight to the heart of Typhoon Emong. Family and friends called us up and said we were headed right for Signal number 3.

May 7 ‘09 Morning.

Weather looked pretty glum. We suffered a flat tire in Vigan. It was a good thing that the rim didn’t get hit. And we had some kuyas who helped us change the tire! We decided to chill out and have breakfast and go a little sight seeing in nostalgic Vigan..

After breakfast we headed for Curimao which was an hour and a half away from Vigan.  Weather still looked glummy with gray clouds that filled up the entire sky. Waves also hit hard against the coastline. Our resort, Pangil Beach resort was just right in front of it.

With the weather like this, there was a close to nothing of chance for sunny weather for the wedding day the next day. And it rained the whole day.

But you know what, around 6pm something cut through the skyline.. it was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.. a perfect sunset sky! We scrambled and got our couple Brian and Wig for som shots by the rocks! STUNNING. We prayed together with the couple afterwards at the beach thanking him for this glimpse of light amidst SIGNAL #3 of EMONG and claimed that tomorrow’s weather would be sunny and perfect.

May 8 ‘09: Wedding day.

And the next morning, this was what our eyes woke up to….

They say it was Signal # 3 where we were.. I say Signal # WHHHHHHHHHUUUUTT!!!!!! Bam! Our God can move storms! yebah!
