I couldn’t have pictured that one day I would get to shoot the wedding of John Mateos Ong and Monique Lopez Ong. Jong has been a great mentor, leader, friend and supporter in and out of the studio. A big chunk of where I am now in my wedding photography I owe to him. When we arrived in Boracay it finally sinked in! Dizzizit! With a big group of wedding suppliers all gathered for the wedding, it was an atmosphere of pure excitement and anticipation! Everyone generously helped in making this wedding one of the best I’ve seen. And true to the engraving on the rings of Jong and Monique, In Christ Alone, indeed!
We were blessed with great weather, awesome company and a whole lot of FUN!
Smiles and cheers just drowned Boracay. And the party lasted till the wee hours of the morning!
Let me just share some of the highlight photos that I took that day. The rest are all in FB hehe.
Jong’s cool suit by Veluz.

Monique and Sabby’s gown by Cecilio Abad.

The cool rings that intertwine by Matus.

Jong was the first groom who ever had air brush make up..according to Madge..hehe!

Happy Jong!

This is the columbian drug lord pose..

And this is the classic Jong that we know and love..hehe!

With some of the groomsmen in lavander threads made by Cecilio Abad.

A fun moment in the sun.

I shouted to them, “what a gay-ish walk!” and I love their reaction haha!

So I rush back to Monique who was getting ready at the back of Seawind. I super love her mini veil.

Ms. Monique just was radiant that day. She had the glow in her eyes that I usually see moments before the ceremony.

Sabby was just so adorable in her own gown!

The beautiful bridesmaids whose gowns were also made by Cecilio Abad.

This is my favorite portrait of Monique.

Pastor Jess, the officiating pastor and Edric, Jong’s discipler, pray over the wedding.

Random photos of guests. Everyone just looked so good!

Jong gets cheers as he walked down the aisle. Love his smile here!

Here’s some of the entourage.

Matthew gets blinded for a while by the sun.. so cute!

Monique walks down the aisle and boy was it well documented from every angle!
hehe

Perfect weather.

Honoring of parents.

The look of love hehe

Ceremony traditions.

And a rainbow peeks over at the horizon.:D God’s surprise gift.

And finally they are married!

Now to shoot the in-between portraits..PRESSURE! haha!
Imagine you are shooting THE John Mateos Ong! hehe

Truly it was a blessed wedding!
Where are the party pics? hehe they are all over in Facebook! haha. Dominic, Tiqui and Grace took over the reception coverage. can’t wait for their pics!
Congrats Jong and Monique!
Up next would be Jason and Loi’s wedding!

John Mateos Ong: Fabulous photos indeed... you were taught well. ;) Wish I could re-live this day and i wish i had more money to invite more guest. Originally booked for 250 guests... over 270 came. To think it was a Thursday on a stormy season... This wedding could not be made possible without the help of supplier friends and truly we've been blessed to have the best. Only God can make this all happen... Only God! [Tuesday, July 7th, 2009, 2:05 pm]
