They always had my back in numerous weddings.. now it was their turn to sit back and be the main subjects! :D Carlo and Heidi has been the best of friends and the worst of enemies at the same time and they ended up together! How amazing is that.. hehe. :D These two take the cake for all the preparations that they did to pull of such a personalized wedding. Set in picturesque Stilts Calatagan and one of the most gorgeous churches I’ve ever seen..inside hacienda Moreno.

Since we were a bunch of photographers that day, I was assigned to Carlo’s preparations and their in between portraits. :D But of course I couldn’t help but of course take snaps during the touching ceremony! :D Can’t wait for the others to blog too! So you could see this fab wedding through the eyes of my talented co-photographers and friends! :D

The wedding was set at around 1pm..and you can guess that it was mighty hot that day! :D

Arriving at Carlo’s cabana, he was still doing some last minute stuff and was a bit tense..but we managed to sit him down and start to relax him a bit. :D Being a photographer also, we get rattled too during our own big day! :D

Stilts had some beautiful rock formations near the shore and we took advantage of them!

Meet Chanel and Armani.. the lovely dogs of Toto and Nicole, fellow wedding photographers also. I wish we brought Coffee and Trooper! But I think they would have plopped out with the extreme heat that day.

Meet Carlo’s lovely family! He’s the first to get married among the siblings and his dad even kidded me that it was looooong overdue as he got married at the age of 20! Now Carlo got married at the age of…. secret… :D

Carlo’s suit was made by Cecilio Abad and his team.  Carlo and Heidi searched for the fabric in Divisoria and Tito Cecil did his magic with it. :D

We now travel to the ceremony venue which was about 15min away! Tucked away in the beauuuutiful Hacienda Moreno! Imagine a chapel on a hill overlooking a lush estate. I heard the owner built that chapel for his daughter’s wedding.

And finally I see Heidi for the first time! And wow was she blooming that day! Her gorgeous gown was made by Cecilio Abad also and her make up was done by no other than Madge Landrito.

And now it was time for the ceremony to begin! :D

Ok now back to work! :D I was one of the assigned together with Erron, Toto, and Jamie to do Heidi and Carlo’s in-between portraits. :D

This spot was wayyyyyy too spectacular! :D Gorgeous light seeping through the leaves… magic! :D

You needed not to pose these two anymore… they were naturals.. :D

 

Come reception time I managed to get some shots in. :D But then I let those assigned to cover the program capture such a chill reception. :D Wonderful set up done by Teddy Manuel! Imagine a bed for the couple’s area! :D  I then just chilled with my wife. :D Congrats again Carlo and Heidi!

This week a lot of relief operations and rescue missions have been ongoing non-stop. Check out some photos I took of my church’s Operation Ondoy where about 400-500 strong volunteers come daily to pack thousands of goods that are deployed with the help of the military to various affected areas. I’ve never seen the Filipino people this united in helping his fellow Filipino brother/sister as massive volunteers and donations keep on pouring around the metro. A lot of families lost not only their houses but loved ones as well. Watching all the videos of recorded accounts of Ondoy’s destruction just moves the soul to go out and do something about it. I encourage everyone to continue praying for those badly affected by this tragedy and get out there and get involved! Am proud to be a Filipino, and I believe this is a turning point in the country’s history.
